A handmade stairs in solid oak.
I built this stairs for my brother when he was building his house. I had just finished working for the company Art Francais, making very interesting stairs and was feeling brave. I squared the planks in a machine shop but cut and build the whole stairs on site. The staircase is designed with a constant taper on the treads so no one of them are parallel, this makes for very comfortable walking around the turns and a safer stairs as the taper is not concentrated around the turns but distributed through each tread. Apologies for the terrible quality of the photographs.
